Want to tour the NIH campus and learn more about what we do from the comfort of home? Now, thanks to technology, you can with the new NIH Virtual Tour—a dynamic, interactive tour that showcases the depth and breadth of NIH’s work of turning discovery into health.

What’s in the Virtual Tour?

This virtual tour lets visitors from around the world learn about NIH’s mission, research, labs, and facilities by showcasing 32 buildings, including 20 in-depth tour stops on NIH’s campus in Bethesda, Maryland.

Visitors can select the full tour to experience our work or choose from special tour tracks; one designed specifically for patients and caregivers interested in NIH clinical trials and another designed for researchers and others to explore opportunities to work, collaborate, or train with us. Each stop features an overview video provided by one of the virtual tour guides and accompanying interviews with NIH senior leaders, administrators, and scientists discussing their roles and what makes NIH special.

Click around on the tour’s Interactive Map to learn more about featured buildings and services, plus you can locate on-campus amenities like parking, shuttle information, cafeterias and cafes, and restrooms (especially helpful if you have an upcoming visit planned).

Webinar Provides a Demonstration

NIH’s Office of Communications and Public Liaison recorded a webinar demonstration of the NIH Virtual Tour and will soon share a recording of the event on NIH’s YouTube account.
