Biography
Ranjani received her Ph.D. from the University of Georgia, where she studied the evolution of apicomplexan parasites using next-generation sequencing and molecular biology techniques. She then did her postdoctoral training in the Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases at NIAID, investigating the role of the microbiota in Mycobacterium tuberculosis and SARS-CoV-2 infections. Her work at the Clinical Microbiome Unit/LHIM will aim to understand the relationship between the maternal and early life microbiota and the immune and metabolic development of the host.
