Biography

Yu Zhang is a genomics scientist with expertise in analyses of rare monogenic disorders and (less rare) genetic variants in human diseases. Using computational methods, she identifies lead candidate genetic variants that potentially explain undiagnosed inborn errors of immunity. She also coordinates and leads the HIDS efforts to identify genetic susceptibility to life-threatening influenza virus and SARS-CoV-2 infections through national and international collaborations.
