Biography
My research is focused on investigating the intersection between the microbiome, immunity, and disease in non-human primate models and hosts of SIV for the purposes of understanding disease mechanisms in people living with HIV. This research considers all stages of disease including viral transmission/acquisition, disease progression, and post-ARV immune reconstitution. Projects and protocols incorporate flow cytometry/sorting, PCR, ELISA, western blot, and high-throughput 16S sequencing.
