Biography

Dr. Laeyendecker is a laboratory scientist and infectious disease epidemiologist engaged in studies of SARS-CoV-2, HSV-2, HCV and HIV both domestically and internationally. He uses use of molecular and serologic biomarkers to determine the movement and pathologic impact of these viruses on human populations. His particular area of expertise is the development and application of methods for estimating incidence from cross-sectional surveys.
