Biography

Kristen’s time is distributed between the management, analysis, design, and development of software products, and the design and construction of 3D objects from scientific data sources (medical imaging, molecular structures, etc.). She is involved with the management, product design, and development of NIH 3D, PathogenAR, TB in 3D, and PaVE 3D. She was also involved in the analysis and product design to develop Hedwig 2.  In addition, she creates 3D models and renderings for 3D printing, print, web, and other applications as part of the NIAID Biovisualization lab. Kristen’s research interests include the automation of 3D modeling and rendering tasks from scientific data sources and 3D interactive applications for web and mobile devices.
