Jishnu Das, Ph.D.

Biography

Jishnu Das is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Systems Immunology, Departments of Immunology and Computational & Systems Biology, University of Pittsburgh. Jishnu completed his Ph.D. in Computational Biology under the guidance of Dr. Haiyuan Yu in August 2016, followed by postdoctoral research at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT, and Harvard/MIT under the joint supervision of Drs. Galit Alter and Douglas Lauffenburger. In January 2020, he started his computational systems immunology lab which focuses on the development and use of novel machine learning approaches to analyze high-dimensional multi-omic datasets to identify molecular phenotypes in immune regulation and dysregulation. His lab also leverages network systems and functional genomic approaches to perform multi-scale integration of genomic and epigenomic datasets with biological networks to elucidate molecular mechanisms of immune disorders. His research is also currently supported by other NIH U and R grants as well as DoD and foundation awards.
