Biography
Nathan Lo is an Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases at Stanford University. His research group studies the transmission of infectious diseases with an ultimate goal of informing public health policy. Dr. Lo’s research blends diverse computational methodologies, including tools of epidemiology, simulation modeling, pathogen genomics, and policy analysis. His interest spans across multiple infectious diseases including vaccine-preventable infections, neglected tropical diseases, and COVID-19. He completed a B.S. in Bioengineering at Rice University, M.D. and Ph.D. at Stanford University, and clinical training at UCSF, where he started his research group as a Faculty Fellow in 2021. In 2023, he returned to Stanford University.
