Biography
Dr. Shuyi Ma completed her undergraduate education at the California Institute of Technology and Ph.D. training at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the Institute for Systems Biology. Dr. Ma did her postdoctoral training in Dr. David Sherman's lab (now at the University of Washington), where she learned tuberculosis microbiology and experimental systems biology approaches. Her lab’s current research interests lie in understanding the complex molecular interactions within and between organisms determine infection and treatment fates in hard-to-treat infections including tuberculosis.
