Biography
Rebecca is an Administrative Assistant in the Bioinformatics Computational Bioscience Branch (BCBB). She assists BCBB with daily administration duties including AMBIS requests, property requests, submission of travel arrangements and a host of other tasks to support the operations of BCBB.
During Rebecca’s previous employment, she served over 20 years in the social service field addressing the needs of families affected by substance abuse, child abuse and neglect. She assisted countless individuals with employment referrals, educational and employment training resources. She served several years working with the homeless population at Central Union Mission one of DC’s oldest Social Services Organizations. She also, served as a City-wide Attendance Counselor in DC Public Schools in attempts to prevent habitual truancy and avert high school dropouts.
In Rebecca nonprofessional life she enjoys travel, food, family, friends and getting to know people! She wrote a book I Married A Green Eyed Monster and designed an athletic apparel for women. She has a great appreciation for Inventors, Scientist, Policemen, Firemen and Teachers!
