Attend Research Education Program Webinar on April 4, Apply by June 7

NIH’s Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) program supports educational activities that encourage pre-college students (pre-kindergarten to grade 12) from diverse backgrounds, including those from groups underrepresented in the biomedical and behavioral sciences, to pursue further studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. For details about the program, refer to the corresponding notice of funding opportunity NIH Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) (R25, Clinical Trial Not Allowed).

To learn more about the program, register for the SEPA Pre-Submission Webinar for PAR-23-137 on April 4, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The webinar will discuss the initiative generally before turning to peer review, human subjects, and budget topics.

Public Access Policy Webpages Are on the Move

NIH is relocating its Public Access Policy website to the NIH Scientific Data Sharing website. The Public Access Policy tab will retain all the information and resources from the old website. There are no policy changes associated with the website migration.

A Note on the Next NIH Grants Policy Statement Release

As explained in the February 28, 2024 Guide notice, the upcoming fiscal year (FY) 2024 release of the NIH Grants Policy Statement (NIH GPS) will not include changes for federal financial assistance management, transparency, and oversight.

Recently, the Office of Management and Budget announced revisions on those topics, which likely take effect on October 1, 2024, and will therefore appear in the FY 2025 release of the NIH GPS instead.
