Biography

Chloe Hicks is a postbaccalaureate fellow who joined as part of the NIH postbaccalaureate program following her graduation from Duke University in May 2023. She majored in biology with a concentration in pharmacology and worked as an undergraduate student in a research lab studying the signaling mechanisms of G protein-coupled receptors. She now works in the Signaling Systems Section on elucidating the dynamic role of reactive oxygen species and phosphorylation in regulating distinct signaling events following inflammasome activation. Her research interests include mechanisms of immune dysregulation and using/developing visualization techniques to study signal transduction networks. In August 2024, she will begin her M.D./Ph.D. training at the Yale School of Medicine.
