Biography
After finishing her undergrad at Emory University, Sarah joined the NIH National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases laboratory for a three-year postbac studying the outer membrane proteins of gram-negative bacteria, which inspired her to pursue her Ph.D. at NIAID through a joint program with NIH and Johns Hopkins University. She is interested in characterizing the proteins involved in the pathogenesis of Mtb and identifying new drug targets to treat infection.
