NIH invites you to provide comments and feedback on its draft Public Access Policy, as announced in the Notice of Availability: National Institutes of Health Draft Access Policy. The draft Public Access Policy builds upon NIH’s history of providing public access to scholarly publications resulting from the research it supports and proposes additional steps to accelerate access.
The current policy is described at NIH Public Access Policy Overview.
The notice seeks public comments on both the draft Public Access Policy—which covers topics like government use license and rights, costs, and compliance and enforcement—and two supplemental draft guidance documents regarding government use license and rights and costs for publications.
To review the draft policy, check the Request for Information on the National Institutes of Health Draft Public Access Policy.
