Educational Programming in the A&I Fellowship

Educational programming in the Allergy & Immunology (A&I) Fellowship Program include the following:

Primary Immunodeficiency Case Conference 

Second Wednesdays, 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.

This monthly case conference is attended by fellows, NIH investigators, and investigators at affiliate sites interested in immune deficiency and immune dysregulatory disorders. Fellows present interesting patient cases from the NIAID clinics and inpatient service, as well as cases from Children’s National, for discussion with the broader clinical immunology community.

Allergy and Immunology Consultation Service Case Conference

One Friday per month

Fellows present cases seen on consults for discussion by peers and faculty. Aims are for continued learning and discussion of difficult cases.

NIAID Grand Rounds

Fridays, 8 a.m. - 9 a.m.

Interesting cases from outpatient/inpatient services as well as presentations by nationally renowned speakers in a variety of immunologic disorders

Fellows Conference

Friday afternoons 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Fellows across all sites convene for core topics in allergy-immunology including: journal clubs, basic immunology course, lectures by faculty at NIH, invited speakers, evidence-based practice, instruction in clinical trial design, workshops on mitigating healthcare disparities, and more…
