Low Pathogenicity Avian H10N7 Influenza Virus in a Healthy Human Challenge Model (20-I-0160)

Researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are recruiting for an inpatient flu study to learn more about flu. If you are healthy and interested in helping us fight the flu, we need you for this research study!   

Who Can Participate?

Healthy adults 18-50 years of age who are nonsmokers.

Where Is It Taking Place? 

The study will take place at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD.

Is There a Cost? 

There is no cost to participate in the study.

Is Compensation Provided? 

You will be compensated for your participation.

How Many Visits are Required?

  • A telephone pre-screening call.
  • An in-person screening visit at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD to determine eligibility.
  • If determined eligible for the study, there will be a minimum 9-day inpatient hospital stay and 4 outpatient follow-up visits over 3 months.
