NIH Develops Training Resources for Responsible Conduct of Research
NIH requires that all trainees, fellows, participants, and scholars who receive NIH support must receive training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)—the practice of scientific investigation with integrity. With that in mind, NIH has developed Resources for the Recipient Community that includes numerous guidelines and best practices. Also check out RCR FAQs that address topics such as the formal instructional components of an RCR plan as well as how RCR plans are reviewed.
Institutions are encouraged to provide RCR instruction to the research community at each career stage, at least every 4 years. RCR instruction addresses topics such as conflict of interest, responsible authorship, policies for handling misconduct, data management and sharing, and proper use of human participants and lab animals.
Enhance Your Presentations with High-Quality Science and Biomedical Art Illustrations
NIAID’s BioArt Source—a new science and biomedical art resource library—gives researchers access to more than 2,000 science and medical art vectors, icons, and brushes. With numerous professionally illustrated images to choose from, researchers can build figures, develop illustrations, and enhance presentations.
Each of these premium visuals has been vetted by subject-matter experts, and all of these visuals are available for download and free to share and use. Note that some may require attribution for use. Learn more about the tool on the FAQs page.
