Dr. Zonghui Hu, Ph.D., Mathematical Statistician
Biography
Dr. Zonghui Hu received her PhD in statistics from Texas A&M university in 2004. Since then, she has been working at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, where she provides statistical support to medical studies, conducts statistical methodology research, and serves on review committees for NIH sponsored clinical trials.
Dr. Hu’s methodology research focuses on missing data problems, causal inference, semiparametric models, and clinical trials. Her collaborative biomedical research targets the mechanism, prevention, and treatment of infectious diseases including influenza, Ebola, malaria, and HIV. She is the recipient of NIH Director’s award in 2015 and 2022. Dr. Hu is an adjunct associate professor at Georgetown University and an associate editor of Statistics in Medicine since 2015.
